Welcome to Athletic Training at Labette Community College. LCC is home to six
varsity sports and is a member of the prestigious Jayhawk Conference.
Each sport has seen their fair share of success with a high number of athletes
receiving conference, regional, and national awards for their success. As
recently as 2005 the Labette Community College Cardinal wrestlers captured the
national title and the women's basketball team were conference runner-up.
Their success at these levels requires the support of Athletic Trainers, both
certified and students, to help prepare them for that success and provide
medical care if they become injured.
I invite you to learn more about Athletic Training
through this site and hope to hear from you soon. Labette Community
College has scholarships available to those students wishing to be
Cardinal Student Athletic Trainers.
Labette Health is a proud supporter of Labette
Community College athletics. Labette Health shows their support by collaborating
with LCC and providing a full-time certified athletic trainer at all Cardinal
games and practices. Athletes in the surrounding area may also set up an
appointment for free consultation and treatment in the Labette Community College
Athletic Training Clinic as part of this arrangement. For more information
